Steel-Iron Material Sheets (SEW)
The steel-iron material sheets and delivery conditions are regarded as an important means of standardising the properties of steels in the run-up to standardisation. During their elaboration, both the knowledge and experience of the steel manufacturers on the properties in use and the wishes and experience of the steel-using industries with regard to steel application are taken into account. Their task is to describe the property profiles of steels for which standardisation is not yet possible. This description is intended to achieve a wider use of the steels and at the same time to gain experience in their production, supply and application. In addition, there is a series of “steel-iron material sheets” describing the properties of ceramic refractory materials.
